An interactive 3D explainer of Type 1 diabetes, built as a single HTML file with Three.js. It zooms from the whole body down to a single molecule and covers autoimmune destruction of pancreatic beta cells, the loss of insulin signaling, ketoacidosis, and insulin therapy. Viewers can compare healthy and diseased states, drag a slider to watch the signal disappear, and learn about CGMs, insulin pumps, and more. The finished video is a screen recording of the interactive demo, suited to short medical education videos.
