A Mouse's Search for Grandfather in the Fog

An original animated short of about 6.5 minutes, inspired by the mood of Hedgehog in the Fog. A little mouse in a red scarf carries a walnut-shell lantern through the fog on a lake to find her grandfather, a mole who has gone fishing. They find each other with a secret knock: short, short, long. All 9363 frames are drawn with JavaScript on canvas, blending styles such as torn-paper collage, chalk on black paper, tissue-paper underwater scenes, sand on a light table, and pop-up books. Suited to art animation and heartfelt short stories.
